Do you have charity rates?
Yes! For hires unrelated to theatre or rehearsals, we offer a reduced charity rate. Please see the Rate Card for more details.Do you take a deposit?
Nope, no deposit is taken. Full payment is due as per the terms outlined in the invoice and Space Hire Agreement. Usually the full amount is due in advance of the booking.Do you have a minimum hire time?
Yes. The minimum hire time is 4 hours for all rooms, apart from the Meeting Room which can be booked for a minimum of 2 hours.Do I need to sign a contract?
We do require a contract to be signed before use of our spaces. This outlines the terms and conditions of hire and is signed electronically over email. Events will not be confirmed until a contract has been signed.Are your prices inclusive of VAT?
VAT is not applicable to our Space Hire as the Arcola Theatre is culturally exempt from charging it. We are 20% cheaper than most venues! Woop! However, any additional charges through the bar will be subject to VAT.Can I host my party at Arcola?
Yes, depending on the details of the hire. Please contact us to discuss.Can I hire the theatre for a one-off performance?

Given ample notice, we can provide Front of House and Technical staff and some technical equipment. This is charged additionally. Please see our Rate Card or get in touch for some more information.Can Arcola help with the marketing of my event?
Afraid not. The responsibility for marketing events lies solely with the hirer. However, we are happy for you to leave flyers on our designated flyer table.Do you have a late license?
Yes, we can serve drinks until 2:30am.Do you allow a corkage for bringing in alcohol?
Regrettably, we are unable to allow external alcohol to be sold or brought into our building and operate no corkage fee. If you want us to stock a particular drink to make your event special, and it’s not currently on our bar menu, do let us know.I’m rehearsing at Arcola. Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes, you can put any perishables in the communal fridge on the first-floor kitchen. Food items must be name-labelled and thrown away at the end of your hire.Can I view the spaces?
