Grimeborn Festival Technician
The Grimeborn Opera Festival returns for the fifteenth year, featuring fourteen operas, four new works and eleven female directors from a variety of traditional favourites and new tales from across the globe.
We are looking for a Festival Technician to work on a fixed term contract to support the Chief Technician in all technical related matters and enable the smooth running of the festival.
● Work on the get-ins and get-outs of specific productions within the festival.
● Under the supervision of the Chief Technician, manage a portion of the upcoming visiting companies.
● Assist in the maintenance of the festival set up and venue.
● Deputise for the Chief Technican for short periods as required.
● Assist with the occasional needs of the Arcola building as required.

We are looking for skilled theatre Technicians to join our freelance technical pool, particularly those with a broad skillset encompassing lighting and sound and good at problem solving particularly under pressure.
You will work as part of Arcola’s Technical team as a duty technician overseeing the delivery of afternoon and evening performances. You will also be part of the team helping to deliver Arcola’s new work and maintaining the technical provision in our theatre.
