POMEGRANATE PROJECT

Arcola Theatre is seeking to recruit two emerging migrant-led or migrant-focused Associate Companies to support in their creative development throughout Spring/Summer 2023.

We are offering:

  • Free rehearsal space
  • Mentoring
  • Networking opportunities
  • Enhanced skills in professional theatre making
  • Participation & outreach
  • Financial advice

The details

Throughout Spring 2023, two emerging migrant-led or migrant-focused theatre companies will receive the equivalent of 3 weeks of rehearsal space, 4 mentoring sessions (by a writer, a director, a fundraiser and a producer), as well as training to go towards their creative professional development. This will then result in an industry sharing to take place from May to July.

Our socially engaged, international programme champions diversity, challenges the status quo, and attracts over 65,000 people to our building each year. Ticket prices are some of the most affordable in London.

Every year, we offer 26 weeks of free rehearsal space to culturally diverse and refugee artists; our Grimeborn Festival opens up opera with contemporary stagings at affordable prices; and our Participation department creates thousands of creative opportunities for the people of Hackney and beyond.
