Arcola receives Culture Recovery Fund survival grant

We are really pleased to share the news today that our application to the Culture Recovery Fund has been successful, and Arcola will receive a grant to help us survive for the next six months.

The whole team is so grateful to Arts Council England, DCMS and HM Treasury for their support.

As part of our application, we submitted our plan for safely returning and welcoming audiences back to Arcola. Today’s announcement is a vital step towards delivering that plan – and we can’t wait to share it with you soon.

Since April, Arcola has been in a period of hibernation; the building has been closed to the public and almost the entire staff team have been furloughed.

The support we’ve received from our community during this time has been amazing – thank you so much to all of you who sent messages, contributed to our appeal and continue to help. We have really missed you all.

For now, we’ll just say thank you again to Arts Council England, DCMS, HM Treasury and our whole community of supporters. Stay tuned – exciting news is coming soon…

  1. This is brilliant news and so pleased for all of you who make the Arcola such a truly wonderful theatre. Fingers crossed that we’ll be able to see performances again before the year’s out.
