In 1905, Germany and Austria were home to some of the greatest minds of the twentieth century. The Last Waltz Season rediscovers three passionate classics by three of the era’s greatest playwrights – Frank Wedekind, Gerhart Hauptmann and Arthur Schnitzler – seen for the first time in London in almost 70 years.
Dumbfounded Theatre is delighted to be co-producing with Oxford Stage Company following the outstanding success of Americans which received its world premiere at the Arcola.
Performed by an ensemble of 16 actors in brilliant new translations by young British playwrights, and featuring three ‘Waltz Saturdays’ – all three shows in one day – this exceptional repertory season promises to be one of the major theatre events of 2005.
