Ikpiko is an abuse reigned on girls who are not circumcised in mid western Nigeria. The play occurs during an “inquiry on the happenstance” of female circumcision. Chilling stories gradually unfold which piece together the lives of seven affected women. Will they ever break their silence to testify? Can their stories ever be heard? This vibrant performance piece is woven together with dialogue, music, song and dance.
