It Felt Empty When the Heart Went at First But It’s Alright Now

Önce Bir Bosluk Oldu Kalp Gidince Ama Simdi Iyi

Performed in Turkish with English Surtitles

‘I know exactly how much I am worth. I am worth three thousand dollars because that is how much Mustafa paid for me. To put this in easy language, that’s like two-and-a-half iPhones.’

Talimhane Theatre has transferred the action of this powerful play to Turkey, which is still a major transit country for human trafficking.
