Join us for a night of new writing as Metamorph Theatre presents its summer programme of ‘Picked + Mixed Plays’. From the bittersweetness of tragedy to the fizzy tang of a biting satire, we have something for everyone.
Seven shows, three devised and four scripted, all hand-picked from over one hundred and fifty applications. Stick your hand in the proverbial paper bag of Metamorph, and get a taste of seven different pieces of theatre all in one night!

Them & Us by Matt Sanders:
Metropolitan Police Constables Tommy and Bill have had an altercation with two men who they encountered “importuning” in Hyde Park. But tonight’s events call their friendship into question and their lives will never be the same again…
Mood Kill By Snippet Theatre Company:
A Devised/Verbatim play: A series of events has led Tommy to confront his mental health. With interwoven personal accounts from different people, ‘Mood Kill’ highlights his journey through the fragility of his mental wellbeing.
Ares by Katie Granger:
Alice is a NASA astrophysicist, head of the first manned mission to Mars. But to reach the stars she’s been chasing her whole life, she’s going to have to sacrifice the only other thing she ever cared about – her astronaut husband, Dan.
Ova, devised by New Light Productions:
Choice. In a world where there are 8 choices for coffee, how can a woman be scrutinised over her body? Putting on trial women and their wombs. Ova combines stunning visual physical theatre with an honest conversation on choice.
Headhog by Tom Jensen:
A young man after suffering an epileptic fit discovers there’s a hedgehog in his brain. As he desperately tries to find meaning in the absurdity, his relationships around him break down.
The Good Landlord part 2 by Metamorph Theatre:
Two flatmates find a luxury house in Central London for under five hundred pounds a month, each! Little do they know what is in store for them…
Intelligent by Alex Prescot:
A play about Oxbridge and mental health, questioning whether the human cost of routine mental illness is worth it if it allows the best to become the best.
