INTRO TO PHYSICAL THEATRE – CONSENTING ADULTS

This six week introduction to Physical Theatre will introduce you to a range of skills inspired by the teachings of Jacques Lecoq. Working towards a liberated body of physical expression we will work through basic techniques of Physical Storytelling including Mime, Ensemble work, Elements, Movement and Devising.

This course is ideal for any performers looking to expand their physical vocabulary and build their ability to embody a character. It is also an opportunity to work in a supportive ensemble through team building exercises to create a theatrical atmosphere and narrative. Participants will gain confidence in their ability to communicate through their body and engage more imaginatively with how they use it.

This workshop is led by award-winning performer, deviser and theatre-maker Jordan Turner.

Monday 30 April – Monday 4 June 8pm-10pm
