This November marks the 4 year anniversary of Identity Drama School – The UK’s First Black Drama School. To celebrate this historic occasion, Identity will be showcasing a selection of thought-provoking, challenging, innovative and dynamic extracts and plays for you to feast your eyes on, all performed by Identity Drama School actors.

Chains – Directed by Femi Oguns
A bold and exciting collection of monologues and duologues which seeks to explore the issues of love, hate and envy, performed by the fresher level adult actors

Impulse – Directed by Victoria Evaristo and Anthony Taylor
A dual showcase of both the professional level under 18s and adult actors.
The under 18s actors will be performing the short play Careless written and directed by Femi Oguns, and adapted by ID2. Careless is a dark, but touching play which delves into the lives of the young residents of a Salvation Army youth hostel, looking at the journeys that lead them to this position, and how they cope with the future ahead.
The adult actors will be performing a series of raw meditations on the natures of love, anger, obsession and desire. Drawing inspiration from a wide portfolio, the showcase will consist of a collection of monologues, duologues and group scenes by contemporary playwrights.
