iAm 4.0

SPID THEATRE PRESENTS – iAm 4.0

I think, therefore…iAm.

You have been selected. We offer you a rare opportunity to participate in a secret focus group, playtesting a ground-breaking new technological innovation. Be the first to get your hands on the most exciting new piece of kit being developed today, and help the creators refine it for public release.

iAm4.0 is an interactive, participatory performance which explores our attachment to technology, and the human cost we are willing to accept in the digital age..  Most of us have accepted technology as a practical way of improving daily life. Yet we’ve all caught ourselves shouting at Siri or berating Sat Nav as if they were humans. The gadgets we rely on play a more emotional role than we like to admit. When we premiered the show in collaboration with the Bush theatre in London, audiences were excited to take part. iAm was nominated for a prestigious Off West End Theatre Award and won four star reviews some of which you can read here , here and here.

The award-winning SPID (Social Political Innovative Direct) uses immersive youth arts to regenerate community spaces. We create participatory events which get people interacting with each other and encourage debate. Our scripts have been published by Oberon, and our shows with The Bush, Southwark Playhouse and Riverside Studios have all sold out and extended. Our regular work is funded by BBC Children in Need, RBKC Youth and Corporate Services and John Lyon’s Charity.
