Houselights Open Forum

Houselights is a new organisation working to ensure that new generations of theatre professionals enter the industry with a working understanding of how to report an incident of sexual harassment, according to industry policy.

Formed in August 2018, Houselights are in the process of developing a bespoke 3-stage programme, to be delivered to Drama Schools and Youth Theatres across the UK which focusses on sharing knowledge of industry policy and highlighting the good practice of many fringe and new-writing venues, many of which graduates will find themselves working with.

Arcola is proud to host the Houselights Open-Forum: an evening to discuss plans, to hear from guest speakers, and to discuss some important questions about the relationship between venues and training institutions. The event will also be a chance to hear about the ways to get involved with Houselights. The team will be talking about their Affiliates Programme which was set up to harness the support of theatres and arts organisations, as well as talking about how you can bring a Houselights workshop to your training institution.

Whether you are a graduate, current student, theatre professional, VAWG professional or someone with a vested interest in preventing sexual harassment in the arts industry – then the Houselights team would love for you to come along to the event and share your insight.

Tickets to this event are free and can be reserved online here.
