Heart of a Dog is a biting, wildly inventive comedy by Mikhaíl Bulgakov, author of The Master and Margarita. A dazzling satire on the Bolsheviks’ attempt to create a ‘New Man’, it was censored and confiscated by the secret police in the years after the Russian Revolution.

For this rare revival of the stage play on the 100th anniversary of the Revolution, Simon Usher directs a talented ensemble cast from East 15 Acting School’s MFA International programme. Previously Artistic Director of the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, he has staged major productions for the RSC, Royal Court, National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre and in London’s West End.
