Ditch Digger

Written and Directed by Nathan Osgood, Co-Directed by Adam Maher

A boy running away from his past is haunted by a ‘voice’ in his head continuously criticising his every move. Living on the road, hitch-hiking anywhere to get away, he gets stuck in the Mojave Desert. Unable to get a ride all night, he fights with the voice.

Then an old man appears in front of him. Who is he? Why does he know so much about the boy and why won’t he go away? Based on the author’s own life, this mystical tale of adventure, exploration and forgiveness cuts to the core.

‘Ditch Digger’ has just been turned into a film shot in the Mojave Desert and is soon to be released. The play is dedicated to the memory of the actor Ed Bishop, whose haunting voice is used in the play.
