Crunch! is a show about apples. From the story of Adam and Eve to Newton’s discovery of gravity, from Paris’s decision to give the golden apple to Aphrodite to William Tell firing an arrow through an apple on his son’s head, the journey of the apple through history both as a symbolic and very real object is a fascinating story.
Through a eclectic mixture of theatre, song, comedy, juggling, mime, dance, clown, puppetry and good old traditional storytelling we want to tell the story of the apple by telling the story of a man and a woman, how they fall in love, and how they choose knowledge above ignorance, pain above bliss, love above eternity.
Tangram Theatre Company is a new multinational theatre company. We aim to produce high-quality, accessible and innovative theatre to a diverse international audience. Our five founder members come from five different countries, and are all recent graduates of the Jacques Lecoq theatre school in Paris.
