Lynette, Ruby and Jodie, three young women from Doncaster, tell their stories of one summer, eight years ago. The post-industrial landscape of canals, woodland and disused quarries, in which these women manage to survive, disguises an uneasy world of aggression and domestic violence which blasts its way through their lives with devastating effects.
Richard Cameron has been praised for his subtly charged lyrical dialogue and has won numerous awards including the Sunday Times Playwriting Award for ‘Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down’. Other work includes six plays for the Bush Theatre (most recently ‘The Glee Club’ and ‘Gong Donkeys’) and also plays for Birmingham Rep, West Yorkshire Playhouse and the National Theatre.
