A Midsummer Night’s Dream

William Shakespeare

In Shakespeare’s Dream, two pairs of lovers meet in a wood outside Athens, home to the king and queen of the fairies. When the spirits encounter the human world, comic misunderstanding and chaos ensue.

As part of BBC’s acting master classes, Jack Shepherd has developed new interpretations for acting Shakespeare. Truth was the focus and playing fairies in a real world was the real challenge. This production is based on these experiences

William ShakespeareJack Shepherd and Mehmet Ergen worked together on many successful productions. These have included Shepherd’s Chasing the Moment (Winner of Time Out Best Fringe Production), Half Moon (Southwark Playhouse, BAC and tours of Israel) and King Lear (Southwark Playhouse and a tour of Ireland).
