On 28 May 2013, a few hundred people from very different walks of life gathered at Istanbul’s Gezi Park. It was no different than the other anti-government protests happening throughout the world. People wanted to protect the trees, protest against the privatization of the public areas and neo-liberal policies legislated by the current government. It was a wake up call for a highly authoritarian government who had been constantly telling its citizens how to live their lives. SAY YOUR NAME questions the relationship between the big corporations, government and the media through the Gezi Park protests.

Dünyanın birçok farklı şehrinde insanlar, bir parkı, bir kütüphaneyi ya da ortak kullanım alanlarını hükümetlerin dönüştürme planlarına karşı işgal edip hayatları pahasına korumaya çalışıyorlar. İnsanlar temiz hava soluyabilmek, maaşlarıyla insanca geçinebilmek, huzur içinde köylerinde oturabilmek ve hayatlarını istedikleri gibi yaşayabilmek için mücadele ediyor. ADINI SÖYLE, Gezi Parkı ile başlayıp Türkiye’nin birçok şehrine yayılan hükümet ve sistem karşıtı gösterilerin üzerinden dünyanın gidişatını sorgulamaya çalışıyor.
