It is important to bring truth to each role, and part of that truth includes the dialect of a character. Work with a leading accent and dialect coach to find the character’s dialect in performance through a close examination of the character’s lived experience, class, race, gender, and beyond.
A variety of international accents will be explored starting with General American in this exciting six week masterclass. Discover the foundations of accent work including oral posture, intonation and sound changes in performance. Enhance your vocal quality through the application of these techniques and apply accents to performance, receiving feedback from an industry professional.
Create character, enhance your vocal skills and master the delivery of accents through listening and identifying intonation, pronunciation and physicality.
This workshop is led by accent and dialect coach Rebecca Gausnell.
