SLAMinutes does 2017

What a year! I mean, really, what happened? Why? How? And what didn’t happen, that should have?

SLAMinutes is back with a compilation of all the hits and the s**ts of 2017! Here are some of the ‘greatest’ (in no particular order):

  1. Donald Trump.
  2. The General Election.
  3. Corbyn 2.0.
  4. Grenfell Tower.
  5. Terrorism: Ariana Grande, Borough Market, Westminster, Finsbury Park Mosque.
  6. Weinstein: we finally stood up and spoke out.
  7. Article 50 activated.
  8. Keith Chegwin died.
  9. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got engaged.
  10. Same sex marriage was legalised in Australia.

And so, so much more. There have been hurricanes, opposing communities coming together in support, giant spotlights shone on social injustices. We lost David Cassidy, we found our voices.

30 writers – playwrights, spoken word artists, comedians and singer-songwriters – give us ONE MINUTE each of their voice, their perspective of 2017. Hear them all at SLAMinutes does 2017.
