Ala Turka presents

Bahar Noktasi/A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Written by William Shakespeare
Translated by Can Yücel

Directed by Naz Yeni

‘When thou wak’st, it is thy dear:

Wake when some vile thing is near.’

The supernatural madness of Shakespeare’s enduring classic is brought to life at the seaside with a cast of Turkish characters. A world of chaos ensues, a story brimming with love and lust, friendships tested and magical worlds explored.  This radical adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is translated by Can Yücel, a popular Turkish poet, and promises chaos, madness, friendship, love and joy, with a Turkish twist!

‘Bir aşka tutul ki bilmem kaçında,

Eşekle yatasın aslan burcunda!’

İngiliz tiyatro tarihinin büyük şairi William Shakespeare’in en unutulmaz komedisi ‘Bir Yaz Dönümü Gecesi Rüyası’ modern Türk edebiyatının sevilen şairi Can Yücel tarafından Türkçe’ye çevrilerek uyarlanmış.
