Arcola Academy presents

Days of Significance

Written by Roy Williams

Directed by Bec Martin-Williams

“I dunno why I did it, I didn’t think, right, wrong, we juss lost it.”

Jamie and Ben dream of becoming heroes. Their mates just want to binge drink the night away. Complex relationships and deep-rooted fears bubble to the surface and repercussions tear through the lives of everyone in their orbit.  Written in response to Much Ado About Nothing, and set in market-town England and the deserts of Iraq, Roy Williams’ searing play reveals the hypocrisies of the West and the questionable morality of the military industrial complex through the naivety of the young we send to fight our battles.
