This deeply moving and personal play, a world premiere from the young Turkish author Leyla Nazli, is set in the turbulent political climate of the 1980’s Turkey.

In a remote mountain village in Eastern Turkey, a father tries to hold onto everything he has created, but everything and everyone seems to stand against him.  Set in a turbulent time in Turkish history and in an area of increasing political instability, this is the story of a father who will do anything to keep his family safe and secure.

This play was originally work shopped at the Royal Court with the support of the British Council and is presented at the Arcola Theatre in an exclusive world premier, as part of the Orient Express season of Turkish theatre.
