How do we protect those we love without losing ourselves?
Double Telling presents the London premiere of Run Sister Run by award-winning playwright Chloë Moss.
Exploring the destructive and redemptive power of family bonds, this is a gripping story of resilience and survival. Spanning four decades, the play follows sisters Connie and Ursula, tracing the forces that bind them together and threaten to tear them apart.
This is “ingeniously structured new writing” (The Stage) that interrogates the tension between nature and nurture, exposing the complex contours of sibling love.
With wit and compassion, the play draws the past into the present, revealing the lasting impact of the choices that shape us.
Directed by Marlie Haco, this new production fuses Moss’ searing dialogue with movement and original music, bringing to life a relationship marked by pain and a deep, enduring affection.
There will be a Post show discussion on Monday 14 July.
This play is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

Praise for Run Sister Run
“Remarkable emotional clarity… A study in empathy, grief, and the quiet damage we carry… a reverse chronological triumph”
“Moss and Haco paint a vivid picture… It’s a marvellously crafted story… Unmissable”
“A remarkable piece of text from Chloë Moss, but also the way in which Marlie Haco has drilled into the piece and opened up a world that has felt so personal, but also speaks as a universal language, is the greatest reward - it will linger long after having watched the show”
“Director Marlie Haco’s new production is fast-paced and impactful… The scenes between Gough and Herbert are electrifying, yet tender”
“Masterfully constructed, memorable and moving… With impressionistic, contemporary direction from Marlie Haco… all the performances are strong and the cast crackles with energy”
“Provoking propulsive profound… it makes effective use of music and of simple, telling choreographed movement, and it features two outstanding performances from Kelly Gough and Jo Herbert”
“A very strong production… This is certainly one to try and get tickets to, before it inevitably sells out”
“Delivered by a cast which moves from frenetic to subdued in the blink of an eye”
