Arcola Theatre presents

Tastes of Africa

Hosted by Elufowoju jr Ensemble

Arcola Theatre & Elufowoju jr Ensemble invite you to share with us your sounds, your looks and your taste of Africa at a big celebration of all 54 African nations.

Come and join us for readings from 54.60 Africa by Femi Elufowoju jr. Following which, you are invited to share your memories of Africa.

Are you Kings and Queens of Pan Africa, a dab hand with a Gele (Yoruba Headtie) or simply melodic on the Mbira? Is your family Jollof or Injera recipe unmatched?  Perhaps you’d like Femi Elufowoju jr (our DJ) to dust off those High Life records or Contemporary Afropop itunes, or you want to show us your most stunning Chitenge or Kente……?

Whether you’re bringing something from your heritage or from a memorable holiday or just coming for the vibes, please join us for an evening of food, music and community… and let’s see how many countries we can gather together!

As an attendee, you are invited to bring and share a dish which represents your culture, to share at the event. Please note a list of allergens in your dish so everyone can enjoy dishes within their dietary requirements.

This is a free event.
