★★★★★ – British Theatre Guide

A fundraising evening of monologues, poetry, testimony and reflection curated by the White Kite Collective, a grassroots group of cultural workers standing in support of the Palestinian people as they confront genocide. Curated as a space for collective healing and catharsis, these urgent first-hand accounts and testimonies are intended to galvanise attendees from awareness to action.

This edition is dedicated to Palestine’s journalists who are enduring unimaginable suffering whilst transmitting the brutalities inflicted upon them to the world. Meanwhile, Israel is targeting Gazan media workers at an unprecedented rate. According to The International Federation of Journalists, at least 127 journalists and media workers have been killed, many injured, 400 imprisoned, and others are missing. It has been the deadliest global attack on journalists since records began in 1992.

We gather in community to honour their lives, sound their stories, and fundraise for two organisations who are working tirelessly on the ground. “There’s really no such thing as the ‘voiceless.’ There are only the deliberately silenced, or the preferably unheard.” –Arundhati Roy

International Media Support pushes for quality journalism, challenges repressive laws and keeps media workers of all genders safe, so that they can do their jobs. They are raising money for food, clothes, blankets; safety equipment and gear, such as press vests, helmets, cell phones and cameras; psychosocial support; and ongoing support to keep as many media outlets as possible operating.

We Are Not Numbers (WANN) is a youth-led Palestinian nonprofit project in the Gaza Strip. Their mission is to mentor and publish a new generation of Palestinian writers and thinkers who can bring together a profound change to the Palestinian cause to get their voices heard. WANN provides the world with direct access to the Palestinian narrative without any restrictions and without foreign intermediaries speaking on behalf of the Palestinians. WANN was inspired by the work of now UK-based Gazan journalist Ahmed Al-Naouq.
