The Comedy of Errors

COE FINAL POSTER SMALL (1)‘As, nimble jugglers that deceive the eye,
Dark-working sorcerers that change the mind,
Soul-killing witches that deform the body…’

The Comedy of Errors: one of Shakespeare’s brightest and funniest plays. Yet at its dark centre is a father bereft of his sons and condemned to death, and a son in search of his brother. They are all of them lost in Ephesus – a dangerous, pagan and alien world of doppelgängers. They know what they seek, but what will they find?

Following sell-out performances in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and at the Globe Theatre Rome, Bedouin Shakespeare Company’s production of this anarchic and surreal comedy comes to Arcola Theatre for one night only.

Don’t miss Chris Pickles’ high-octane production, which features mask work, physical theatre, puppetry, original music from Paul Knight, and a dazzling company of actors.
