INTRO TO THEATRE DIRECTING – CONSENTING ADULTS

Learn how to create a director’s concept that communicates your interpretation of the play and unifies the elements of a production. Understand the processes of preparing for rehearsal and the relationship of story, design and performance.

This innovative six week masterclass will take participants through pre-rehearsal preparation, rehearsals into productions. Participants will gain an insight into how productions are planned for and rehearsed, as well as having the opportunity to work with scripts and actors in the room.

This workshop is specifically aimed at emerging directors keen to develop their approach to text analysis, but is open to anyone curious to find out more about how a script goes from page to stage in the hands of a director.

This workshop is led by director, teacher and Arcola Participation Manager Bec Martin-Williams.
