Arcola Ala-Turka is one of the UK’s leading Turkish language performance collectives, it strives to give a theatrically voice to the Turkish and Kurdish communities in East London by creating urgent theatre reflecting on identity contemporary Britain.

Since their first production of Arthur Miller’s ‘A View From The Bridge’ in 2001 the company, led by Artistic Director Mehmet Ergen and Executive Producer Leyla Nazil, have contiuned to create theatre that is  politiically-charged, moving and daring.

Despite beginning as a community company Arcola Ala-Turka is continually advancing to becoming an important theatre company in its own right, and their productions are enjoyed by critics and audiences alike.

The group is currently working on their production scheduled to be performed in January 2017.
