Arcola’s goal of becoming the world’s first carbon neutral theatre is a large undertaking. We encourage incoming companies to think about their show’s carbon footprint, and we also make sure we’re working to reduce out own. We monitor a range of factors that contribute to our carbon footprint, including energy and water consumption, waste production, travel and purchasing.
Arcola participates in a number of external accreditation schemes, which provide us with frameworks for our monitoring and awards for achieving new levels each year.
