The Selfish Giant

Book Now

Join us for Arcola’s first Christmas show for children and families!

Every afternoon, as they were coming home from school, the children used to play in the Giant’s garden.  It was a large lovely garden, with soft green grass. Here and there over the grass stood beautiful flowers like stars. The birds sat on the trees and sang so sweetly that the children used to stop their games in order to listen to them. ‘How happy we are here!’ they cried to each other…

Until one day, when the giant came back…

Arcola’s award-winning Creative Engagement Department present Oscar Wilde‘s The Selfish Giant, newly adapted for the stage by poet and playwright Richard O’Brien.

This distinctive handmade and visual fairytale opens up an enthralling, involving theatrical world for all ages.

Arcola Theatre has turned the classic story by Jules Verne into a funny and magnificent play for the whole family.
