INTERMEDIATE ACTING – CONSENTING ADULTS

Designed for those who have completed a beginner level acting technique course or have relevant experience, this course focuses on in-depth character and scene analysis. Undertake challenging acting exercises to develop emotional truth and perform complex scenes with confidence.

In this six-week course, you will further develop performance skills such as establishing consistency in the delivery of scene work, creating an openness in your approach to offers and the work and deepen your ability to be present in the moment. You will develop characterisation using voice and movement, apply various movement techniques and further your understanding of the link between voice and movement. An important part of extending your acting craft is realising the writer’s intent. In this course you will prepare in-depth script analysis, conduct dramaturgical research on chosen text and create truth in your character portrayal based on scripted text.
