KARAGIOZES EXPOSED

Directed by ATHINA KASIOU & EURIPIDES DIKAIOS

Presented by Open Arts

23rd September - 4th October 2008
Starting time: 7PM
With live music in the bar from 6.30PM

A shadow puppet’s revolution into a new dimension.

Through a mistake of his puppeteer, Karagiozis momentarily tastes the three dimensional world. Trapped again behind his screen, he revolts to return to this newly found world.

Through physical theatre, experimental architecture, live original music and using Shadow Puppet theatre as the core of the show, Karagiozis Exposed explores the crossing of boundaries and coming to terms with a new dimension.

Performed in Greek with English sur titles. Suitable for ages 12 and above.

The dialogues are clever, the idea authentic and at long last we can speak of an outstanding performance… ingenious, both as conception and as content… The team work is evident in the whole performance.” [POLITIS newspaper, 20th Sept. 2007]
